Onions are cut into cubes of 10*10 mm in size. Cubes have different geometric shapes; uneven edges are allowed. Presence of together frozen cubes not exceeding 10%, which easily crumble under light pressure, is allowed. The product is clean, healthy, not damaged by agricultural pests and diseases.
Colour is white, cream, red, purple, taste is bitter-sweet, sharp, smell is typical for onions. Foreign flavours, odours and impurities are not allowed. Consistency in the thawed state is quite dense, close to the consistency of fresh onion, a slight softening of the product is allowed.
