Elderberry berries are ripe, clean, without sepals, not sticky, not damaged by agricultural pests and diseases, with no signs of rot and mold. The product is crumbly, without sticking berries, berries are not damaged by diseases and pests.
Colour of berries is from dark purple to black, taste and smell are typical for blackberries in the stage of harvest maturity. Foreign flavours, odours and impurities are not allowed. Consistency in the thawed state is quite dense, close to the consistency of fresh elderberry berries, a slight softening of the product is allowed.
