Berries are well developed, healthy, fresh, whole, ripe, without mechanical damage, disease and pest damage, excessive external moisture. The product is crumbly, without sticking berries. Blackcurrant berries are uniform in maturity and shape.
Colour of berries is from dark purple to black, taste and smell are sour-sweet or sweet, which are typical for blackcurrant berries in the stage of harvest maturity. Foreign flavours, odours and impurities are not allowed. Consistency in the thawed state is quite dense, close to the consistency of fresh blackcurrant berries, a slight softening of the product is allowed.
